Cracker Barrel Old Country Store officially opened a new location Monday, at 6 a.m. in LaVale. The 10,000 square-foot store located at 13 Campground Road will be open Sunday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
With this location, Cracker Barrel brings approximately 190 full and part-time jobs to the area and now operates nine stores in the state and 636 nationwide.
Wendy Brumbaugh has been named general manager. Brumbaugh has been a part of the Cracker Barrel family since 2008 and was recently named Cracker Barrel’s 2015 General Manager of the Year.
“We are so excited to bring Cracker Barrel to LaVale and serve our guests family meals prepared in a way that reminds them of being at home,” Brumbaugh said. “Our mission is ‘Pleasing People,’ and we’re looking forward to offering residents and travelers alike the friendly service and southern hospitality our guests have come to expect from us.”
At Cracker Barrel, breakfast is available all day with lunch and dinner options beginning at 11 a.m. Cracker Barrel serves authentic, high-quality, homestyle meals prepared from scratch like homemade chicken n’ dumplins and also offers a full Wholesome Fixin’s menu of classic country meals with a lighter twist – full of flavor and under 600 calories.
Each Cracker Barrel location is uniquely decorated with real American artifacts, memorabilia and signage collected by a team of experts. The walls of Cracker Barrel stores reflect the nation’s rich history and by tailoring elements to the local community, offer a homespun appeal for local residents. In LaVale, guests will see localized pieces that pay homage to the coal, timber and textile industries.
