In a new survey released this week by Homesecurity Shield using information from the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report, Cumberland is ranked as Maryland’s 8th most dangerous city. Baltimore topped the list followed by Ocean City. The data shows Cumberland with violent crimes almost 8 per 1,000 residences. If you combine violent crimes and property crimes the city of Cumberland ranks number 3 in the state of Maryland. Mayor Brian Grim says that statistics can be manipulated, and in this case the numbers are two years old…
