Enrollments Continue to Grow Through Health Exchange

State health officials say 25,000 people have now enrolled through the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. The website starting accepting enrollments last week. Of the 25,000, officials say 11,000 enrolled in Medicaid and about 14,000 in health plans. Maryland launched a new website for the fall rollout after suffering all sorts of problems and computer glitches during the initial rollout last January. Joshua Sharfstein, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, said the state has set no specific goals and is simply interested in getting as many people to enroll as possible….
