Foreclosures In Maryland On The Rise

February 28th, 2015 by WCBC Radio

Maryland has the second highest foreclosure rate in the nation. The new figures come from the Mortgage Bankers Association which found the mortgage delinquency rate in the country fell to it's lowest in more than seven years. The Daily Record reports both Maryland and New Jersey had set up requirements designed to give homeowners a greater chance of avoiding the loss of their homes. That has resulted in a delayed surge in foreclosures over the last several quarters.
