Gov. Hogan Does Not See A Scenario Where Gun Law Will Be Reversed

The shooting at a Charleston South Carolina church that left nine dead last month reawakened a familiar debate: whether or not to enforce stricter gun laws in the United States. President Obama's comments in the wake of the tragedy, seen by some as some of his most forceful toward gun control following a shooting massacre, stoked the simmering controversy. Just two years ago, Maryland, led by then governor Martin O’Malley adopted some of the more strict gun control measures in the nation. There is now a re-newed cry by some to overturn that law, and lesson the restrictions on gun purchases. Maryland’s new republican governor Larry Hogan said that while he understands the emotional response, realistically he can’t see a scenario that would see the democrat controlled house and senate in Maryland reverse the law…
