Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson has released the following statement concerning the Hazen Road home invasion.
"This morning at approximately 2:45 am the Allegany County Sheriff Office, along with the Maryland State Police, responded to the Hazen Road area of Allegany County, just off Bedford Road, for a reported home invasion.
It appears that possible three male individuals entered a residence in this location and confronted the resident. They then fled the scene.
I am unable to release the details of this incident but I would like the citizens know that this incident does not appear to be a random incident. The resident apparently knew and associated with at least one of the individuals’ involved.
This case is actively being investigated by the C3I Unit."
