McKay Talks Business Equipment Property Tax Phase Out

Maryland House of Delegates elect 1C Mike McKay says there are preliminary talks taking place in Annapolis about phasing out a property tax on business equipment statewide. The soon to be freshman republican delegate has served the past four years as Allegany County Commissioner. Indications are that the governor-elect is considering the concept in order to make Maryland more competitive with neighboring states.  McKay says while the concept might be great for the state,  at the same time it could have a devastating fiscal impact on local governments:
