On Friday at approximately 4:30 p.m., Deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on Jared Dr. in Pinto for a reported burglary. According to the victim, sometime over night (Thursday 4/23/15 – Friday 4/24/15) her residence was entered and several household items were stolen. After interviewing neighbors, Deputies were able to locate the stolen property and identify the suspect as Daniel Edward Vanmeter (30 years old, Pinto). VANMETER was arrested without incident and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He was charged with 1st degree burglary, 4th degree burglary and theft over $1,000 under $10,000 VANMETER was ordered held in lieu of a $15,000 bond and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is being held pending his next court appearance
