Bench Warrant Served

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on John Robert Lemmon.  The warrant charges Lemmon with failing to follow the conditions of his probation.  Lemmon was served with the warrant then taken to District Court for his initial appearance and he was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $1,000.00.

Arrested:

John Lemmon Robert – age 29 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Bench warrant for failing to follow conditions of his probation.

 

Shoplifting Arrest

On Tuesday, June 29, 2015 at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to Martins Market on Park Street in reference to a shoplifting complaint.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with a store representative who stated that he observed Michael Robert Caswell take an item, conceal it in a bag and attempt to leave the store without paying for the item.  Caswell was contacted and issued a criminal citation charging him with theft.  Caswell was released from the scene pending his trial at District Court.

Arrested:

Michael Robert Caswell – age 28 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Criminal citation for theft under $100.00.

 

Destruction of Property

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at approximately 5:18 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to Pyzanno’s Restaurant located in the 600 block of Greene Street in reference to a destruction of property.  When an employee arrived for work damage to the front door of the business was located.  Unknown subject threw a large rock through the front door glass causing it to shatter.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Cumberland Police Department at 301-777-1600.
