Domestic assault, breaking and entering arrests made

July 30th, 2015                                                                       Arrest Warrant Served

 

On 07/30/15 at 2:29pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept served an arrest warrant on 32 year old Justin Frazier of Cumberland. The warrant stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 07/27/15 when officers responded to a residence located in the 500blk of Pearre Ave in reference to a breaking and entering. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that someone had entered the residence and removed several items of value. Further investigation led to the recovery of the stolen items at a local pawn shop. As a result Frazier was served the warrant charging him with First, Third, and Fourth Degree Burglary and Theft less than $1000. 

 

Frazier also had two additional active arrest warrants, one filed by a private citizen charging him with theft and the second warrant was issued for CDS related charges. Frazier was taken for an initial appearance at District Court on all three warrants and was held on a total of $11,000 bond. Frazier remains remanded at the Allegany County Detention Center pending his next court appearance.

 

 

July 30th, 2015                                                                 Domestic Assault

 

On 07/30/15 at 9:26pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 300blk of Columbia St in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim in this case as well as a witness to the events. Investigation revealed that 37 year old Michael Chamberlain of Cumberland got into an argument with several people at this location. Chamberlain then charged at one of the subjects striking them in the face. While charging the subject, Chamberlain also pushed another subject out of his way to get to the other subject. The victim in this case had minor injuries that did not require medical attention. As a result, Chamberlain was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Dept where he was charged with two counts of Second Degree Assault. Chamberlain was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.
