Police Make Arrests in Disorderly Conduct; Warrant Service

Arrest Warrants Served

On Thursday, the Cumberland Police Dept served arrest warrants on 35 year old Monica Marie Bowman and 32 year old Manda Dyan Keifer both of Grantsville. The warrants stem from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 04/13/16 when Officers responded to the 400blk of Seymour St in reference to a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that they heard noise coming from the rear basement door. The victim went to the back yard and observed two females who she identified as Bowman and Keifer kicking in the inner and outer basement door. When confronted by the homeowner, they fled on foot. As a result officers applied for charges through the District Court resulting in the arrest warrants being issued. Both Bowman and Keifer were each charged with one count of Fourth Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property. Both were taken for an initial appearance at District Court where Keifer was released on her personal recognizance and Bowman was held on a $3,500 bond pending their next court appearance.

 

Disorderly Conduct

On Thursday at 3:46pm, officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a business located on Queen City Drive in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were directed to a group of subjects that were arguing inside the establishment. While officers were speaking with one of the subjects, another subject identified as 68 year old Paul Runion approached the subject and began arguing with him attempting to possibly start a fight. At this time officers placed Runion under arrest and transported him to Police Headquarters where he was issued a criminal citation for Disorderly Conduct and released pending trial in District Court.

 

Theft

On Thursday, officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located in the 200 block of Fulton Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim who advised that sometime overnight person(s) unknown removed a wheelchair from the front porch. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
