For the second time in less than a month, the Maryland Senate has delayed a vote to override one of Gov. Larry Hogan's vetoes.
The Senate postponed today's scheduled override vote of the the governor's veto of a bill that let's ex-felons vote while they are on probation.
Current law requires ex-felons to wait until their probation is completed.
Today's vote was postponed because two Democratic senators, Paul Pinsky of Prince George's County, and Mac Middleton of Calvert County are absent.
Democratic leaders expected the 29 votes needed to override to come from their ranks, as none of the 14 Republican Senators would agree to override Hogan's veto.
The vote will now take place on Tuesday.
Last month, the vote was delayed until Hogan filled a vacant senate seat in Montgomery County.
The governor did that Wednesday, when he named Montgomery County Del. Craig Zucker to the post.
Zucker was sworn in on Thursday.
