The Cumberland Police Department along with members of the Allegany County Combined Investigation Unit is investigating a stabbing that occurred earlier at a business on North Mechanic Street in Cumberland, Maryland. Currently the victim is being treated at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. A suspect has been developed and is currently under arrest. Allegany County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police assisted as well. The investigation is continuing and further details will be provided.
