The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the arrival of Santa on the downtown mall will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014. Due to the large number of citizens in attendance some changes have been made to increase the safety of those attendees. Starting at 5:00 p.m. there will be no parking allowed on Centre Street from Dexter Place to Baltimore Street and on Liberty Street from Frederick to Baltimore Street. Signs will be posted to remind citizens of this restriction. Both Centre and Liberty Streets will be closed at 6:30 p.m. to through traffic. Centre Street will be closed at Dexter Place and Liberty Street, which is the location of the parade, will be closed at Frederick Street.
