On Saturday January 31, 2015, Cumberland City Police served and Arrest Warrant on Michael Bettis, age 36 of Cumberland. The charges in this matter were filed by a private citizen who alleged that on January 25, 2015, Bettis threatened to burn down the residence where the complainant in this matter resides. Bettis was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing. He was held on a $6,500.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Also on Saturday January 31, 2015, Cumberland City Police served a Bench Warrant on Angelo Carlton, age 26 of Cumberland for the charge of Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Carlton was taken directly to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held without bail.
