A planned travel center that will employ about 60 people and serve professional drivers, travelers and local people remains scheduled to open near Ali Ghan Road- however an originally scheduled fall opening has been pushed back because of delays. Love’s Travel Stop and Country Stores. Permitting issues at one point had slowed the Love’s Travel Stop and Country Stores – and there were rumors circulating just a few months ago that the project was dead. Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine- although noting it is a city project, not the county- says there have been some slow downs, but the project remains very much alive and viable.
