May 17th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Allegany High School History Teacher Brian White is assisted by School Board Facilities Director Vince Montana in opening up a time capsule that was placed in the cornerstone of the present Allegany High School on October 28, 1925.

The box contained a Bible, coins from the era, newspapers of the day, and several school, school board and Masonic documents.

White explained the items as he pulled them out of the metal box, and made history by closing the assembly as the last official ceremony at the auditorium of the 93 year old school.

What are the dates on the coins and other documents?
What were the documents–what is the name of them–
    what were they about?
What were the headlines in the newspapers?
What were the stories in the newspapers about?
What was going on in Cumberland at the time?
What ads were in the papers?
Who was mentioned in the papers.
    Etc.
    Etc.
