After months of promotion- it’s finally here. The 2016 Fireball Run is underway with a few events in Cumberland this week. Allegany County was selected earlier this year as one of the destinations for the upcoming 10th season of the adventure-travel television series and live action competition. This area will be represented by Team Country Rhodes consisting of Cumberland City Administrator, Jeff Rhodes, and his wife, Liz Rhodes, CEO of Coldwell Banker in Cumberland. Competition is underway and runs through October 1. Two events, one on Monday afternoon and another early Tuesday morning are scheduled with local residents and visitors invited to attend the festivities on the Downtown Cumberland to celebrate the event and cheer on TeamCountryRhodes. Aidy Alonzo is the Brand Integration Director for the FIREBALL RUN. She says a goal of the annual event is to showcase some of America’s hidden treasures in terms of tourism communities…
