Board Doesn’t Want To Scale Back New Alco Too Much

Allegany County Board of Education President Nick Hadley tells WCBC News that its difficult to say at this point exactly how much local funding for the proposed new Allegany High School will be needed to make the project come to fruition. The board is in the process of re-bidding the project after bids came in last month some $20 million above projections. Hadley says that while everyone involved in the project wants to see it completely in a fiscally responsible manner, however he says scaling the project back too much could compromise the integrity of the school's academic programs….
