Another Shooting Related Arrest

On 04/11/2016 24 year old David Lee Kesler, Jr., of Cumberland, was arrested by members of the C3I Warrant/Fugitive Unit, with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office. Kesler was wanted in connection with the shooting which occurred at Fort Cumberland Homes on 03/30/2016. Kesler surrendered himself at the Maryland State Police Barrack in LaVale after being contacted by the Warrant/Fugitive Unit.

Kesler was charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, and related charges. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance, and is currently being held, without bond, at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending his next court appearance.

Kesler was also served with an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation. Bond was pre-set at $10,000.00 on that warrant.
