On 03.25.2014 at approximately 5:15 PM, Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office were working a tobacco and alcohol compliance assignment sponsored by the Allegany County Health Department in the Frostburg area, and observed what they believed to be a drug transaction in the parking lot of the 7-11 convenience store. Additional Allegany County Sheriff Deputies and Frostburg City Police Officers responded for assistance. Upon further investigation additional CDS and paraphernalia were located at the scene. Subsequently, a search was conducted on a Bishop Murphy Drive residence and a quantity of marijuana, paraphernalia, prescription pills, CDS packaging equipment and US currency was located and seized.

The following suspects were charged in relation to the incident:

50 year old Marrianne Scott of Cumberland-Possession of CDS not marijuana

 

19 year old Benjamin Smyers of Frostburg:
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute-Conspiracy
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute: Narcotic
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute: Narcotic-Conspiracy
CDS Possession Paraphernalia x 2
CDS Possession Marijuana
CDS Distribution: Narcotic
CDS Distribution: Narcotic-Conspiracy

22 year old Chelsea Jones of Frostburg:
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute-Conspiracy
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute: Narcotic
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute: Narcotic-Conspiracy
CDS Possession Paraphernalia
CDS Distribution: Narcotic

After an initial appearance at the Allegany County Commissioner's Office:
Scott-Released on Personal Recognizance
Smyers-Held in the Allegany County Jail on $8,500
Jones-Released on Personal Recognizance
