The YMCA of Cumberland will host the 31st Annual Rocky Gap Sprint Triathlon and 2nd Annual Duathlon on Sunday, June 3rd. Athletes can participate in the sprint triathlon by swimming one-quarter mile in Lake Habeeb, biking eight miles along Pleasant Valley Road and running a five kilometers along the lake and returning via Pleasant Valley Road, or may opt to participate in the duathlon event which consists of a five-kilometer run, 8-mile bike and five-kilometer run on the same scenic course.
Volunteers are welcome with an understanding that being a volunteer at an event like this is as passive as golf with even less walking. Come out and support the local YMCA.
To register you must be 13 year of age or older. Register online or in person. Please make all checks payable to the Cumberland YMCA. Include your email address for immediate verification of registration.
