The Cumberland Times News reports former Mountain Ridge High School standout student-athlete Molly Offstein, who was critically injured after being struck by a car in March, will be moved home next week. Her father, Evan Offstein, via social media indicated she would return to Frostburg Aug. 15. Molly, a 19-year-old freshman and cross country team member at Elon University in North Carolina, suffered brain trauma when she was struck while attempting to cross an intersection during a run March 6 at Elon. She’s currently being treated at Baltimore’s Kennedy Krieger Institute after initial treatment at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill and Atlanta’s Shepherd Institute. She cannot walk or talk, according to her father.
