Now in its 43rd year, PACE is a signature event in the state capital. PACE Co-Chairs, Allegany’s Jeremy Irons and Garrett’s Shawn Bender announced earlier this month that Maryland’s Lieutenant Governor Boyd K. Rutherford will be the keynote speaker at Friday’s PACE Breakfast. In addition, the lineup includes: Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot; United States Senator Ben Cardin, and David Trone, newly elected US Representative from the Sixth Congressional District of Maryland. While unable to attend the Friday event, there is a chance Governor Hogan could pop in to the evening reception Thursday. Senator Cardin has been a frequent attendee at the event each year, noting that Allegany and Garrett counties are among his favorite’s spots to visit…
