9/11 Ride Set To Come Thru Cumberland Friday Morning

August 17th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

For 15 years, hundreds of motocyclists commorated the 9/11 terror attacks with ride from Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to the Pentagon, and then on to the site of the World Trade Center in New York.

Although last year was identified as the final year, there will be several motorcyclists continuing the tradition Friday morning.

The ride is scheduled to leave Shanksville at 8 AM, and will follow a route that brings them through Cumberland between 9:00 and 9:30 AM tomorrow morning.

There is a question as to how many will be participating in the ride, and there will be no police escort or barricades set up.
