Accident with injuries in the Narrows

Just after 7:30 Tuesday morning, Maryland State Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on National Hwy east of Locust Grove Road in the Narrows. Investigation revealed Richard Gray McDonald Jr, age 68 of Lonaconing, Maryland was the operator of a 2000 Ford Escort. Sharon Elaine Nines, age 62 of Spring Gap, Maryland was the operator of a 2009 Ford Focus. The vehicle driven by McDonald was traveling east on National Hwy. Mr. McDonald’s vehicle failed to drive right of center and struck Mrs. Nines vehicle which was traveling west on National Highway. Both operators were transported to the Western Maryland Heath System with non-life threatening injuries by Cumberland City Rescue and LaVale Rescue Squad personnel. McDonald was cited for Failure to Drive Right of Center and Negligent Driving.

    ac schools said that any child owing $12 or more in their lunch account starting yesterday, will have their main entrees removed from the tray and placed in the trash and they will only be given a side and a milk. What is that all about? Is the school board part of this? This is on facebook if you would like to check it out.
