ACPS Announces School Leadership Assignments

June 5th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Earlier this year, ACPS Superintendent of Schools, Dr. David Cox, announced several administrative staffing changes at Mountain Ridge High School, Braddock Middle School, and West Side Elementary School. All principals were serving in an interim capacity through the end of the school year, and Dr. Cox has now removed the interim titles at the secondary schools, making the positions permanent for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.

Danny Carter will be the principal at Mountain Ridge High School, replacing Gene Morgan who retired in April; Dr. Molly Stewart will be the principal at Braddock Middle School, filling the vacancy left by Carter; and Lora Puffenberger will be the principal at Westmar Middle School, filling the vacancy left by Stephanie Wesolowski last year.

Dr. Caren Kurtz has been serving as the interim principal at West Side Elementary School since Dr. Stewart’s move, and interviews for her permanent replacement will begin in the near future.
