Active COVID Cases in WV Likely to Drop Below 2,000 this Week

Active COVID-19 cases in West Virginia are expected to drop below 2,000 before the end of the week, according to data trends released Tuesday by the Department of Health and Human Resources. 

The state added 245 new cases over a four-day period with active cases now at 2,083. The DHHR confirmed seven new deaths, none of which were in counties in the Mountain Maryland region.

Total deaths are now at 2,870.
