AHEC West Honors Local Physical Therapist

A local physical therapist was among nine health care professionals honored at the annual AHEC West Awards Dinner held earliler this summer at Rocky Gap Casino Resort.

Christopher T. Whiteman, MPT, of Progressive Physical Therapy, received the Mentor of the Year Award for helping to promote AHEC West’s high school-oriented ECHO program – Exploring Careers in Health Occupations.  Whiteman is shown with AHEC West Executive Director Susan Stewart, left, and ECHO Program Coordinator Melissa Clark.

Clark said Whiteman was extremely generous in serving as a role model and mentor for students who attended the 2015-16 program. “Whatever I asked of him, he was there for the ECHO program,” she said.

Progressive Physical Therapy has offices in Keyser, Romney and Cumberland.
