The Cumberland Times News reports the Greater Cumberland Regional Airport has been awarded a $5.4 million Federal Aviation Administration grant for runway rehabilitation.The grant will be used to repair runway 5/23. The bid for the project was awarded to Mountaineer Infrastructure LLC of Dryfork for about $3.6 million, according to Terry Page, a consultant with Delta Airport Consultants, who provided a project update at the July Potomac Highlands Airport Authority meeting. The FAA grant is part of a $162.4 million funding package awarded Tuesday to 72 airports in 31 states across the United States as part of the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program.
