ALERT: Five Arrested During CDS Hotel Investigation

On Saturday, Members of the Allegany County Sheriff's office had been investigating CDS complaints at local hotels utilizing an opioid grant. During the operation, a firearms complaint had come in that a person had a handgun at a Lavale motel,

Members of Sheriffs Office assisted by the Maryland state police responded. Upon arrival, contact was made with 35 year old Justin Edward Shriver, of Frostburg, and officers learned that he was wanted on a warrant from Mineral County West Virginia. He was placed under arrest and a quantity of suspected heroin was found in his possession. Shriver was also charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia and warrant was lodged as a detainer from Mineral County West Virginia for Failing to appear for court. While proceeding to the suspects room on the firearms complaint, the door opened and Erika Nichole Whetstone Frostburg, Md 26 yrs old came out of the room and was found in possession of suspected methamphetamines. A check was made in the room of the complaint and 3 other individuals were present and arrested on the following charges. 

Veronica Susan Ford Cumberland, Md 28 yrs old Possession of Heroin, Possession of paraphernalia

Donald Matthew Garland Frostburg, Maryland 36 yrs old Possession of Heroin, Possession of paraphernalia. Garland also had an outstanding warrant from Allegany County for Fail to appear for Court 

Nicholy James Washington Frostburg, Md 30 yrs old Possession of Fentanyl, and False information to a police officer.   

All individuals are being held at the Allegany County Detention Center pending the next court hearing.

    The name of the hotel where these crimes occur is relevant. News is news, even when its an ADVERTISER.
