All Pass Sobriety Checkpoint

The Maryland State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Friday evening, June 29, 2018.  The operation was conducted between 10:30 p.m. Friday evening through midnight on westbound I-68 ramp to Exit 39 in LaVale.
 
111 vehicles were checked during the effort.  No drivers were found to be impaired.  The checkpoint was manned by 10 State Troopers and 1 Natural Resource Officer.  Four members of the State Highway Administration, District 6 also assisted with safety during the operation.
 
The Maryland State Police would like to thank the community in the effort to reduce impaired drivers on the roadways.  Highway safety begins with the decision to driver sober, well-rested and with no distractions
