The budget process for 2013-2014 for Allegany County is just getting underway, and while times continue to be tight financially- there is some reason for optimism. Finance Director Jason Bennett outlined this years budget schedule which will include a number of public budget workshops in late March and April; public presentations by agencies and departments; and budget presentations in April and May. Bennett says that unlike last year, no unfunded mandates or significant cuts are expected from the state.
