Allegany County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Identification Necessary

Allegany County residents are encouraged to take advantage of an exceptional upcoming opportunity to safely and legally dispose of numerous household hazardous waste free of charge. For the first time, paint can be recycled at the Allegany County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. Allegany County is the first county in the state to offer this option. There will be a nominal fee to recycle paint. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., rain or shine, at the Allegany County Fairgrounds, 11490 Moss Avenue, Cumberland. Proof of Allegany County residency will be required such as a current driver’s license or utility bill.
