The Allegany County Public Library System is requesting an additional $50,000 for fiscal 2017 in order to expand current library hours and hire additional staff. Library system Executive Director John Taube made the request to the Allegany County Commissioners during recent budget hearings. He said to balance the budget for fiscal 2016; the library system was forced to reduce operating hours at the systems six libraries….
