New Allegany High School plan “well received” by Board Of Public Works

In a continuing effort to secure funding for a new Allegany High School project- members of the Allegany County Board of Education and the school superintendent appeared this week before the Maryland Board of Public Works presenting the latest plan. With bids coming in far too high for the original estimates last September, the board decided to rescind the earlier agreed up plan- and begin the process anew. While the state board, which consists of the governor, the comptroller and the state treasurer, did not vote on the request this week- school superintendent David Cox tells WCBC News he felt the presentation was well received…
