On 3/8/2015 @ approximately 0415hrs, deputies with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to reduce high beams and vehicle equipment violation on RT 220 near WCI. During initial contact with the driver, the deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. As a result of a probable cause search, 30.0 grams of suspected marijuana was discovered on the driver’s person and various other CDS related items were removed from within the vehicle. The male juvenile driver was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was later released to his legal guardian.
