Allegany High School Closes Its Doors on Sedgewick Street

The doors of Allegany High School on Sedgewick Street have closed for the student body for the final time- with the new school set to open later this summer in time for the 2018-2019 school year. The oldest high school in the state has been in deteriorating condition for many years- and school board officials were finally able to secure approval and a $51 million funding package to see a new Allegany Constructed on Haystack Mountain.
