Allegany Transit To Conduct Public Hearing Tomorrow

Allegany County Transit will conduct a public hearing this Thursday afternoon for input on proposed changes in routes as well as a fare restructuring. The hearing will be held in room 100 of the Allegany County Office Complex and begins at 4 p.m. an hour prior to the start of the County Commissioners regular business meeting. Changes, if any, won’t occur until after the public comment period expires- however a caller to WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” said notifications have been given to those regular users of the Alltrans- ADA service will see the rate doubled. Alltrans service is designed to meet the needs of senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. She said she hopes to see a large number of citizens attend tomorrow (Thursday’s) hearing to voice objections to the proposal…
