Ambulance accident in Romney

The Cumberland Times News reports the driver of a Honda Civic that collided with a Romney Rescue Squad ambulance late Thursday on U.S. Route 50 in the Capon Bridge area suffered serious injuries. Three occupants of the ambulance were treated and released.

According to West Virginia State Police, who investigated the accident, Kevin Fagga and Kerri Richardson were passengers in the ambulance, which was driven by Charles Iman. The driver of the Honda Civic was Jeremy Hott of Augusta, police said.

Hott was taken to the Winchester (Va.) Medical Center following the 11 p.m. crash that occurred in the Cooper Mountain area, according to Romney Resue Squad Chief Donnie Smith.

Police said the other injured were taken to Hampshire Memorial Hospital.
