Animal Advocates Suggest Savings

A group representing the welfare of animals has proposed legislation to trim spending. According to the Baltimore Sun, Maryland Votes for Animals, who visited the state capital report found that 45,000 cats and dogs are euthanized in state shelters every year at a cost of $8 to $9 million. Among its recommendations is legislation to spay and neuter stray animals
