Having received no funding from Maryland's Legislative Bond Program in 2013 and partial funding of $100,000 on a $250,000 need in 2014, the Allegany County Animal Shelter Management Foundation received support from the Allegany County Commissioners for a $250,000 request in 2015. The status of this request is still uncertain as 2015 budget deliberations come to a close in Annapolis and a late push is coming from the District One Delegation. Delegate Wendell Beitzel, a member of the House Appropriation Committee tells WCBC News that the potential request was the subject of a recent meeting of the local delegation and he planned to meet with the Committee Chair to further discuss the issue…
