The Herald Mail reports an armed man robbed the Super 8 Motel early Friday at 118 Limestone Road in Hancock, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. The robber entered the motel lobby at about 4:30 a.m. and demanded money after he showed the clerk a black semi-automatic handgun, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Deputies said the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber is described as a white male who was wearing black pants, an off-white colored hoodie and black sneakers with white laces. He also was wearing a black mask and disposable gloves. Deputies said the robber was 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall. Anyone with information may call authorities at 240-313-2886.
