On Tuesday at 9 A.M. deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Midland area for a report of a male subject shooting a gun at a residence. Prior to their arrival, the male subject reportedly left the residence and was in the area on foot with a firearm. Deputies arrived in the area and obtained information concerning the whereabouts of the subject. The subject was located walking in a nearby field with a long gun, but disappeared into a wooded area. After a search, the subject was located and taken into custody without incident. The C3I unit arrived on scene and will be conducting the investigation.
Assisting with the incident was the Maryland State Police, Maryland State Police Aviation, Cumberland Police and their CERT Team, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police, and the Allegany County EMS Division.
