Armed Robberies Spur Increased Patrols

Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack Commander Lietenant Homer Martz and Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson are stepping up patrols of local 24 hour businesses in light of Saturday's armed robberies in Bowling Green and LaVale.

Here is a statement endorsed by Sheriff Robertson and issued by Lt. Martz

In light of the recent armed robberies, patrol troopers will be making random checks of convenience stores and other 24 hour businesses.
