Updated: Armed Robbery Reported On Arch Street

On January 25, 2017 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the rear of 424 Arch Street for a robbery complaint.  Upon the officers arrival they were advised by a witness that her two friends were robbed by three unknown white male suspects.  The suspects fled the scene on foot as the victims gave chase.  According to the witness her two friends were exiting the rear of the residence when they were swarmed by three white males.  The suspects demanded the victims hand over their belongings.  One suspect knocked the first victim to the ground with a metal pipe and the other two suspects knocked the second victim to the ground using a handgun and a baseball bat.  The suspects were able to obtain a wallet and a bag that belonged to the victims.  During a search of the area, officers located a broken magazine that appeared to be from a BB gun.  Near the magazine, officers observed fresh blood on a vehicle parked in the back alley.  Additional officers in the area were unable to locate the suspects at the time of this incident.  The Cumberland City Police are asking the public for their assistance with any leads that could assist in identifying these suspects.  Anyone with information is urged to contact the City Police at 301-777-1600.
