On 03/15/2017 25 year old Ryan Gregory Brooks, of Cumberland, was arrested when he turned himself into the Cumberland Police after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
The charges are the result of an investigation by the Maryland State Police and the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) into allegations that Brooks had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a 15 year old girl.
Brooks was also charged for having nude photos of the same victim. Brooks was charged with 3rd Degree Sex Offense, 4th Degree Sex Offense, Perverted Practice, and Possession of Child Pornography. Brooks is currently awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
