Arrests Made For Violation Of A Protective Order & Domestic Assault

On Monday, April 4, 2016 at approximately 6:07 pm, Officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of the 300 block of Bond Street for a report of a violation of a Protective Order.  Upon the Officers arrival they contacted the complainant who stated the subject, Larry Rodeheaver, was on the second floor of her residence, in violation of a court order.  The complainant stated Rodeheaver came to the residence to see his daughters and an argument began.  She asked Rodeheaver to leave but he refused.  Officers contacted Larry Rodeheaver who was sitting inside the residence.  Officers confirmed that a protective order was in place stating that Rodeheaver could not be inside to the residence or have any contact with the complainant.  Rodeheaver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Police Department.  He was processed and taken before the Allegany County District Court Commissioner.  Rodeheaver was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center and was awaiting a bond hearing.

Charges: Violate ExParte/Protective Order

 

Domestic Assault Arrest

On Monday, April 4, 2016 Officers responded to a Pennsylvania Avenue residence for a reported Assault.  Upon their arrival they contacted the victim, who sustained an injury to her face.  She stated she and her husband had been in an argument and he struck her in the face.  The Cumberland Fire Department responded and the victim refused treatment at the scene.  The suspect, Bernard Ferguson, was still on the scene and was placed under arrest for the assault.  Ferguson was transported to the Cumberland Police Department where he was processed and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office.  Ferguson was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center on $3,000 bond.
