Arrests made in Oakland burglaries

The Cumberland Times News reports, three Morgantown, W.Va., residents have been charged in connection with a string of daytime burglaries that occurred late last month in the Oakland area, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office. The burglaries occurred April 24 through 28 at residences on Second Street, Fairway Drive and Memorial Drive. Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, cash and other items were stolen, police said.

The investigation led to the arrest of Douglas Anthony Young, 36; Jeremiah Lee Parker, 40; and Katina Marie Parker, 41.

Parker has been charged with numerous burglary and theft offenses and has posted bond of $20,000 for her pretrial release.

Young and Jeremiah Parker remained jailed Wednesday at the North Central Regional Jail near Clarksburg, awaiting extradition following disposition of local charges

Police are also seeking information concerning the burglary of the Friendsville Pharmacy that occurred in the early morning hours of May 28.

Videos of the suspects were posted on the WCBC Facebook page.

The suspects were in a 2010-2013 Dodge Grand Caravan van that is light colored, possibly silver or gray, police said.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of persons(s) responsible for the burglary of the Friendsville Pharmacy.
