Baltimore Councilwoman Assaulted

December 2nd, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Two teenage boys assaulted Councilwoman Rochelle "Rikki" Spector, throwing her to the ground before driving away in her car in a parking garage in South Baltimore Friday morning, police said. Police were called at 10:15 a.m. to the unit block of Pierside Drive, off Key Highway, where Spector told officers she had just been assaulted and robbed. She told police she was getting into her car when she was approached by two teens who threw her to the ground, and drove away in her car. The teens were unable to exit the garage in her car because of a security gate, police said. Two employees working inside the garage who witnessed the assault stopped one of the teens until police arrived, while the other ran from the scene. Police said Councilwoman Spector was taken to an area hospital where she was being treated for her injuries.
